Advantage of a VPS over home server is uptime.
You can host it at home. Most IPs are not static but for some reason mine hasn’t changed in half a year. If it changes often you can use duckdns.
You should checkout Seafile again. It’s so easy and way faster than NC.
If your photos are externally linked I would just delete and rerun the dockers.
I just had a weird immich issue where all my photos disappeared. Deleting Redis solved it for me.
