It’d be one thing if it was confined to one generation, but it’s not. I saw the “Greatest Generation” saying the same kinds of things to boomers and Gen X.
During Covid, I saw lots of people online in their teens and up to Gen X, at least, saying that they should not be restricted in travel or having to wear a mask or to get vaccinated, because THEY were healthy, eating right, getting sunshine, not overweight, had no preconditions, and most importantly, weren’t OLD, so fuck everyone else.
So the selfishness is coming from all directions…every generation has people wired for extreme selfishness at the expense of everyone else, including people in their own generation.

I mean, there’s a reason baby boomers were labeled the Me Generation in the 1980s, when they were in their 20s-40s.
